E & M Summer Interns
May 22, 2018…This summer, E&M has chosen two interns to learn and grow with the company as stepping stones to their careers.
Our first intern is Justin Wayland, a sophomore at Virginia Tech University. Born and raised in northern Virginia, he’s a Criminology and Sociology double major with minors focusing on National Defense and Foreign Affairs, as well as Peace and Violence studies. This is his second-year interning with E&M in which he aids our east coast office in anything they might need. Some of the work he does is help manage requisitions of potential employees, input time sheets and assists on any proposals we might need. When asked on why he decided to intern he with E&M for a second time around, he responded, “Well I enjoyed my first year of working as I was able to experience many opportunities that most couldn’t receive after just their first year of college, plus everyone is truly incredible and extremely kind always willing to lend a helping hand.” Going forward he hopes to join the military after graduating college and pursue a career with the FBI. We are excited to have him back this summer and look forward to not only helping him but him helping us! Thanks Justin!
Our next intern is spending her first summer with E&M! Hannah Hapke is a happy go lucky sophomore at University of Colorado in Colorado Springs. She will be assisting our west coast office in the financial sector, as well as aiding our vice president of corporate operations, April Persinger. After meeting through mutual connections, Hannah was offered an internship with E&M for the summer. Asking about her goals and expectations for the summer, Hannah replied, “While I have learned many new and thrilling things, I’m excited for the opportunity and hope to be a valuable team member and gain true work experience.” While at the University of Colorado, Hannah plans on studying Dentistry. We at E&M are ecstatic to have her on board. Welcome to the family Hannah!
