E&M Technologies, Inc. is currently seeking a System Engineer – Cyber Defense Asst. Program to join our team in Fort Belvoir, VA in support of INSCOM. INSCOM executes mission command of operational intelligence and security forces; conducts, synchronizes, and integrates worldwide multi-discipline and all-source intelligence and security operations; and delivers linguist support and intelligence related advanced skills training, acquisition support, logistics, communications, and other specialized capabilities in support of Army, Joint, and Coalition commands and the U.S. Intelligence Community.

Job Responsibilities

  • Identify friendly unit vulnerabilities and assess the Operations Security posture by reviewing the organization’s Operations Security standard operating procedures, Operations Security plan, and policies for compliance through passive observation, interviews, trash analysis, and open source research. Augment and support the defensive assessment to identify friendly unit vulnerabilities and assess an organization’s ability to protect its critical information. Provide an evaluation in the form of a written report on the organizations Operations Security posture, training, and guidance as needed.   
  • Augment and support the offensive assessment mission to emulate the adversaries’ information operation against the targeted organization by conducting open source research, trash analysis, data mining analysis, and fusion between Operations Security and other team assets assessing an organization’s ability to protect its critical information.  

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience 
  • Graduate of Army Information Operations Planners’ Course (AIOPC) or equivalent experience 
  • DoD 8570 Information Assurance Technician – Level II   
  • Certified Wireless Security Professional (CWSP)   
  • Assured Compliance Assessment Solution Certification (ACAS)   
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen. 
  • Must have and be capable of maintaining a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance at the required level. 

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience participating in and effectively contributing to a highly-collaborative team environment. 
  • Demonstrated ability to be innovative and to work independently. 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
