E&M Technologies, Inc. is currently seeking a Cybersecurity Sustainment Engineer to join our team in Colorado Springs, CO in support of the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD). NORAD is a United States and Canada bi-national organization charged with the missions of aerospace warning, aerospace control and maritime warning for North America. Aerospace warning includes the detection, validation, and warning of attack against North America whether by aircraft, missiles, or space vehicles, through mutual support arrangements with other command.
Job Responsibilities
- Conducts analysis, evaluation, or design of unique and complex tasks through the development of new or improved methods and procedures.
- Accomplishes assignments by defining requirements, developing criteria, searching for information, developing concepts, coordinating intra or interdisciplinary interfaces, and controlling allocated resources.
- May plan, schedule, and coordinate the work of others on a large engineering project or on smaller projects containing many complex features or requiring detailed analysis.
- Responsible for the overall maintenance of information technology security systems and protocols.
- Design and implement security measures for hardware, software, and network platforms to ensure protection from cyber-attacks and any other possible harmful intrusions that could compromise or damage data and network infrastructure.
- Assess existing cybersecurity systems and protocols and design and implement upgrades to existing measures as well as implementing new procedures.
- Constantly conduct risk-assessments of existing network hardware and information delivery systems to prevent and mitigate risk.
- Lead cybersecurity initiatives and provide input on budgetary parameters on a large scale.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related Computer Science or System Science Discipline with 10-14 years experience in relevant experience; or a Master’s Degree in a related Computer Science or System Science Discipline with 8-12 years of relevant experience; or a Doctor’s Degree in a related Computer Science or System Science Discipline with 4-7 years of relevant experience.
- Ability to lift equipment up to 50 pounds.
- Must possess a current CCNA and DoD 8570 IAT Level II security certification (e.g., Security+ ce);
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Must have and be capable of maintaining a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance at the required level.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) Certification
- Expert knowledge in information technology systems security software, hardware, cloud, and server-client suites because they are directly responsible for cybersecurity initiatives.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are crucial so as to conduct continuous assessments of network security measures and identify possible risks and provide risk prevention and mitigation.
- Basic Windows System Administration experience Or Background with SPADOC or space situational analysis or space orbital analysis.
- Excellent communication skills
- Proven leadership abilities
