E&M Technologies, Inc. is currently seeking a System Architect to join our team in Colorado Springs, CO in support of the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD). NORAD is a United States and Canada bi-national organization charged with the missions of aerospace warning, aerospace control and maritime warning for North America. Aerospace warning includes the detection, validation, and warning of attack against North America whether by aircraft, missiles, or space vehicles, through mutual support arrangements with other command.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and/or update Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) viewpoints to align with technical baseline documentation
- Provide technical leadership for systems engineering teams including MBSE mentorship
- Participate in collaborative engineering/development processes
- Support efforts to augment existing, independent DoDAF viewpoints into a comprehensive model
- Work with enterprise architect and technical teams to develop “To-Be” DoDAF viewpoints
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree with at least one year of MBSE experience
- Must possess a current DoD 8570 IASE certification; or must have the ability to obtain IASE certification within 6 months of start date.
- Demonstrated understanding of system architecture frameworks and methodologies
- Strong working knowledge of DoDAF, including developing and modifying “As-Is” and “To-Be” DoDAF Models
- Experience using SysML and/or UML
- Familiarity with complex system technical baseline documentation including system requirements and specifications, Interface Control Documents (ICDs), drawings, and technical manuals
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Must have and be capable of maintaining a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance at the required level.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using IBM Rational Rhapsody
- Minimum of two years of MBSE experience
- Ability to support Engineering Investigations and conduct Analyses of Alternatives to recommend plans of actions
- Experience participating in and effectively contributing to a highly-collaborative team environment.
- Demonstrated ability to be innovative and to work independently.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
