E&M Technologies, Inc. is currently seeking a Space Program Analyst/Systems Administrator (VMAC CSpOC) to join our team in Colorado Springs, CO in support of the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD). NORAD is a United States and Canada bi-national organization charged with the missions of aerospace warning, aerospace control and maritime warning for North America. Aerospace warning includes the detection, validation, and warning of attack against North America whether by aircraft, missiles, or space vehicles, through mutual support arrangements with other command.
Job Responsibilities
- Operate, monitor, identify, report, coordinate, and document abnormalities for Space Defense Operation Center (SPADOC)/Space Predictive Effects Analysis Results Reporting (SPEARR) systems, servers, clients, and peripheral devices in accordance with operating instructions
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled Initial Program loads (IPLs) and system failovers
- Coordinate with system leads, SMEs, maintenance personnel, and System Center/Job Control on repair actions/status
- Perform scheduled recovery and backup system tasks, create output products and disseminate as requested
- Respond to failures and anomalies, ensure facility security by utilizing established procedures
- Assist in training of apprentice personnel, coordinates and schedules system upgrades, and maintenance
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree in a computer field and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
- Active DoD IAT level II certification (e.g., Security+ ce)
- Working knowledge in system administration of Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments
- Working knowledge in system administration of Microsoft Windows operating systems (OS) administration and associated hardware.
- Working knowledge of Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) technologies
- Basic RedHat or Linux experience/knowledge
- Know the difference between virtual machine and Remote Desktop
- Basic Windows System Administration experience or background with SPADOC or space situational analysis or space orbital analysis.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Must have and be capable of maintaining a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance at the required level.
Preferred Qualifications
- Cyber and Space Operations experience
- VCP/VCAP certification
- Experience participating in and effectively contributing to a highly-collaborative team environment.
- Demonstrated ability to be innovative and to work independently.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
