E&M Technologies, Inc. is currently seeking a Cybersecurity Lead Engineer to join our team in Colorado Springs, CO in support of the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD). NORAD is a United States and Canada bi-national organization charged with the missions of aerospace warning, aerospace control and maritime warning for North America. Aerospace warning includes the detection, validation, and warning of attack against North America whether by aircraft, missiles, or space vehicles, through mutual support arrangements with other command.
Job Responsibilities
- Daily interaction with eMASS and Xacta to maintain the security posture of multiple systems operating at various classification levels
- Develop and collect artifacts to document compliance for cybersecurity controls IAW DoD and NIST RMF guidelines
- Participate in the development, implementation, and monitoring of analytical and technical methodologies, tools, and policies/standards to ensure a cyber-secure environment for the customer
- Provide computer forensic and intrusion support to high-technology investigations in the form of computer evidence seizure, computer forensic analysis, data recovery, and network assessments
- Participate in configuration control process for hardware and software to include technology selection/recommendation and ongoing configuration management
- Perform analysis of established security requirements, recommendations, and safeguards
- Support the formal ST&E required by each government accrediting authority through pre-test preparations, participation in tests, analysis of the results, and the preparation of required reports
- Continuously monitor cybersecurity posture of each system and implement corrective actions or mitigations until all vulnerabilities are addressed
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, IT Security, Network Systems Technology, or related field and 4 years of cybersecurity experience
- Active DOD IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ ce)
- Functional experience with the DOD Risk Management Framework (RMF) as described in DoDI 8510.01 and NIST SP 800-37
- 1 year functional experience with eMASS and Xacta
- Functional knowledge of information technology (workstation, server, network, voice, video) to include hardware, software, and OS/IOS
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving
- Ability to work with diverse teams of engineering and support personnel in a mission-critical operational environment
- Ability to communicate with customer and cybersecurity stakeholders (e.g., IS Owner, ISSM, SCA, AO)
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must have and be capable of maintaining a U.S. Department of Defense (DOD) security clearance at the required level
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience working in scaled Agile environment frameworks such as SAFe
- Experience supporting NC3 mission systems/subsystems
- Experience supporting IC mission systems/subsystems
- Experience participating in and effectively contributing to a highly-collaborative team environment
- Demonstrated ability to be innovative and to work independently
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
