E&M Technologies, Inc. is currently seeking a Level 3 Windows System Administrator to support a Federal Government Client.

Job Responsibilities

  • Ensure no undocumented potential or actual loss of data from Mission Systems thru combination of sound system configurations and scheduled/confirmed backups of Mission Systems, system configurations, and resident data. All potential risks to resident data shall be documented by the KTR in Mission System documentation, System SOPs, or as agreed to by the applicable Government Functional Lead(s).
  • Plan, schedule, and obtain Government pre-approval for all maintenance activities that may disrupt use of TAC Mission Systems or TAC Mission Applications.
  • Maintain and manage license service, monitoring, and reporting of licensed TAC-owned Mission Applications.
  • Check and ensure, on daily basis, software licenses are available to users during weekday hours of 0700-1700. Instances of license non-availability shall be reported to the applicable Government Functional Lead upon discovery and summarized in Weekly Activity Reports.
  • Ensure licensing Report Logs are properly “rolled over”, archived, and backed up to ensure no loss of usage data.
  • Provide written recommendations to update mission applications prompted by events such as OS Updates, other software updates, or requests from users for newer functionality recognized as valuable.
  • Conduct required testing and report results using ONI provided Microsoft Office templates or forms.
  • Provide as necessary for review by ONI CSWF, installation instructions or plans, and required security scans results for any new software that will be fielded or accredited production/development networks.
  • Liaise with Hopper ISC to provision enterprise public and system related Windows and LINUX-based storage as necessary for TAC-owned Mission Applications.

Minimum Qualifications

  • B.S. Degree in related Technical Field.
  • CompTIA Advanced Security Professional (CASP) or Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP)
  • Microsoft Certified System Administrator (MCSA) or Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE)
  • 7+ years of experience with the following:
    • Windows migrations and active directory upgrades
    • Managing Microsoft Active Directory to include implementation of GPOs to support the implementation of STIG settings on file and print services, DNS, Domain Controllers, and application servers.
    • Managing Windows systems, including Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2008, Windows Server 2012, to include 2012 STIG deployment.
    • Building, configuring, and managing Microsoft Windows servers in multi-tenant enterprise environments
    • Advance knowledge in setting up LUN for VMWare environment.
    • Hardening Windows operating systems to STIG compliance
    • Managing Active Directory architecture and replication in a multi-domain environment.
  • 2+ years of experience with the following:
    • Working with virtual infrastructure (i.e. VMware)
    • Utilizing VB/PowerShell to automate common functions
    • Migrating large infrastructures from physical to virtual environments
    • Experience/awareness of SCCM methodologies

Preferred Requirements

  • M.S. Degree or PhD in IT related field with MCSA/MCSE 2012 R2
  • At least 3 years NetApp experience. Advance knowledge in setting up LUN for VMware environment.
