E&M Technologies, Inc. is currently seeking a Network BMC/Remedy System Administrator to join our team in Suitland, MD in support of the United States Air Force Advanced Battle Management System (ABMS). ABMS is the service’s overarching effort encompassing a new set of technologies, operational requirements and warfighter integration efforts that will allow commanders and warfighters to share more and better information faster.

Job Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, administer, and deploy Asset Management, BMC Discovery, and ITSM Suite components.
  • Perform BMC Discovery 20.x administration to include start anywhere application mapping, collaborative application mapping, application mapping using TPL, scanning networks, maintaining appliances, CMDB synchronization, creating and editing patterns templates, and developing custom reports using BMC Discovery reporting features and Smart Reporting.
  • Scan networked assets, execute reconciliation procedures, and update the configuration management database.
  • Provide technical support for operations and environment aspects of the customer’s Enterprise ITSM Suite which serves customers, engineers, user-support groups, management and others in the NMIC and its customers.
  • Meet with representatives from the Help/Service Desk and Tier III Support Teams to discuss changes and refinements to the BMC Discovery application and emerging trends that indicate improved efficiency and quality of the CMDB.
  • Support application users located throughout the National Capital Region and regional entities

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 4 years of relevant technical experience. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience in:
    • BMC Discovery Administration and Configuration 
    • Asset management and CMDB
    • Business analysis on data using BMC Smart Reporting or comparable reporting tools
    • Remedy ©ITSM Suite administration and development.
  • A current CompTIA Security+ certification
  • ITIL V3 or V4 Foundation certification
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must have and be capable of maintaining a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance at the required level.
  • Must have the ability to travel.

Preferred Qualifications

  • BMC Certified Associate: Discovery 20.x Application Modeling for Administrators
  • Experience participating in and effectively contributing to a highly-collaborative team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to be innovative and to work independently.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
