E&M Technologies, Inc. is currently seeking a Senior System Administrator – Active Directory to join our team in Quantico, VA in support of a Federal Customer.

Job Description

  • Routinely make group policy modifications to support the needs of the domain.
  • Review existing configurations of the replication topology for inconsistencies and deploy new configurations during site build.
  • Author PowerShell scripts to automate deployment tasks.
  • Configure and troubleshoot name resolution in an Active Directory-integrated split-brain DNS environment.
  • Perform daily health checks of the enterprise, and up-channel findings with suggested remedies for implementation.
  • Manage the Active Directory-based activation of Windows platforms. Implement security enhancements to the environment as directed by the CSO.
  • Proactively review current Active Directory technologies and presents suggestions of those which may enhance the mission.
  • Support the unit with other duties as assigned within the scope of work.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in System Administration, Information Technology, or Computer Science/Engineering and a minimum of 5 years of experience in designing, managing, administering, documenting, troubleshooting, and supporting Active Directory components. An additional 5 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience providing support to the umbrella of Active Directory (AD) technologies.
  • Enterprise-level experience in optimizing Directory Services infrastructure.
  • Experience in the following:
    • Monitoring and maintaining existing Directory Services environments in multiple enclaves.
    • Utilizing Group Policy to harden resources within the environment. Evaluating the relationship between existing policies and plans for the introduction of those needed in the future.
    • Troubleshooting Group Policy processing issues that arise on systems within the environment.
    • Maintaining DNS at the service level, verifying functionality and troubleshooting issues.
    • Utilizing split-brain DNS for multi-homed enterprise resources.
    • Maintaining the health of existing AD Federated / Certificate Services technologies.
  • Working knowledge of DISA STIGs and their implementation.
  • Working knowledge of creating/maintaining federation trusts.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must have and be capable of maintaining a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance at the required level.

    • Active Directory 2016, 2019, 2022
    • Group Policy
    • DNS
    • Active Directory Certificate Services/PKI
    • Authoring PowerShell scripts that will be used to standup and maintain AD Environment
  • Experience participating in and effectively contributing to a highly-collaborative team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to be innovative and to work independently.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
