E&M Technologies, Inc. is currently seeking a Computer Engineer II to join our team for a contingent position in Norfolk, VA in support of a Federal Customer.
Job Description
- Lead the development of interfaces to web applications, servers, systems, and other heterogenous environments
- Design and develop highly decoupled, virtual hardware and software platforms that system administrators can easily use to run various applications
- Lead development, maintenance, and support of infrastructure, products and tools that will replicate the information from the fielded databases to the enterprise database
- Manage maintenance of the infrastructure to include, but not limited to hardware upgrades, OS upgrades, software upgrades, and authority to operate (ATO) submissions and approvals
- Manage analysis, design, documentation, development, cyber scanning, accreditation, authorization,
- maintenance, installation, migration, transition, and disposition support, for GOTS and COTS systems and software products.
- Support software engineering services associated with lifecycle maintenance activity to deliver capability enhancements, security updates, defect corrections, mandate compliance, and changes required in supported systems and programs related to operating environment modifications.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Cybersecurity, Computer, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering, Mathematics, or Computer Information Systems with a concentration in computer science or equivalent and a minimum of 3 years of experience in computer design, software design, development, and testing or computer networks.
- 1 year of technical experience in support of a DOD Business IT supply, logistics, maintenance, and/or personnel administration system for aviation, afloat or shore activities.
- Must possess one of the following certifications or obtain one within a year of hire:
- PSEM/CSDP
- MCAD
- MCDBA
- RHCA/RHCP
- CCNP/CCDP
- OCP/VCP
- Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS CSA, Azure Administrator)
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Must have and be capable of maintaining a U.S. Department of Defense (DOD) security clearance at the required level.
- Must have the ability to travel.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience participating in and effectively contributing to a highly-collaborative team environment.
- Demonstrated ability to be innovative and to work independently.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
