E&M Technologies, Inc. is currently seeking a Software Engineer to join our team in St. Louis, MO in support of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency. The NGA delivers world-class geospatial intelligence that provides a decisive advantage to policymakers, military service members, intelligence professionals, and first responders.
Job Responsibilities
- Maintain responsibility for all facets of the application including the user experience.
- Create sharp and responsive features for an existing application that can support tens of thousands of map data points and multiple configurable data sources.
- Collaborate to make open-source capabilities available to restricted network users.
- Collaborate on the design, development, testing, and integration to further mission goals.
Minimum Qualifications
- Junior: 2-4 years of relevant experience
- Mid: 5-7 years of relevant experience
- Senior: 8-10 years of relevant experience
- Demonstrated experience developing with modern languages such as: Python, Java, JavaScript, etc.
- Demonstrated experience with JavaScript frameworks such as Angular.
- Demonstrated experience developing and implementing software enhancements to mission systems in other Government agencies.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
- Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies as needed.
- Demonstrated experience writing or contributing to end development and deployment instructions.
- Demonstrated experience using Agile based software development methodologies.
- Demonstrated experience developing innovative solutions.
- Demonstrated experience using multiple technologies to develop enterprise systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience participating in and effectively contributing to a highly-collaborative team environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
